Global Health Emergency Program
Rapid response when health systems are overwhelmed.
Our health emergency program responds to local and international health crises — from pandemic surges to outbreaks such as Ebola. Every dollar donated to this program buys health-related essentials: personal protective equipment, oxygen, cold-chain storage and frontline clinical equipment.
When a health emergency hits, the gap between a declaration and the arrival of supplies is measured in lives. RHF holds a standing reserve so that the first shipment does not wait on a fundraising cycle.
We work through regional procurement partners who already hold licences and customs relationships in-country. That keeps landed cost down and shortens delivery from weeks to days.
Every deployment closes with a published manifest: what was bought, what it cost, where it went and who received it.
How this program works
- Funds released within 72 hours of a verified emergency declaration
- Procurement handled by vetted regional suppliers, not middlemen
- Full equipment manifest published for every deployment
