Impact & transparency

We would rather show you the ledger than the brochure

Charitable giving runs on trust, and trust is built by publishing things that are inconvenient.

Where every dollar goes

Ninety-four cents of every dollar reaches program delivery. The remainder covers the audit, the diligence, the payment processing and the staff who do the coordination that makes the ninety-four cents worth more than it would be on its own.

Our commitments

Four things we promise to publish

We publish the ratio

Our administrative cost ratio is audited annually and published whether it improves or not. This year it is 4.2%.

We name the recipients

Every grant is published with the recipient organisation named, the amount and the intended outcome.

We publish failures

Programs that did not achieve what we funded them to achieve are reported in the same document as the successes.

We state our fees up front

Payroll giving: 3% capped at $10 per pay period. Charity Account top-ups: tiered from 3% down to 1%. No hidden deductions.

Program funding

Current position by program

Updated as gifts are received. Programs furthest from goal receive the “where needed most” allocation first.

A note on these figures. Program totals are illustrative pending the first published audit under the new reporting standard. Once the audited figures are signed off they replace these numbers here and in the annual report, and we will say clearly in this box that they have.

Questions about our finances?

Ask us anything. If we cannot answer it, we will tell you why rather than change the subject.
